BrewLog Privacy Policy
BrewLog is a personal coffee journal and AI dial-in coach. This policy explains what data we handle and how. We follow a data-minimization principle: we collect as little as possible and never sell your data.
1. What We Store
Your account email (for sign-in) and the brewing data you choose to log — beans, brews, taste feedback, AI suggestions, and your palate model. This data is stored in your own access-controlled rows on our backend (Supabase, row-level security, owner-only) and is visible only to you.
2. Third-Party AI Processing (App Store Guideline 5.1.2)
When you enable AI dial-in or scan a bag label, BrewLog sends the relevant brew parameters (and, for scanning, the bag-label photo) through our self-hosted gateway to a third-party generative-AI / large-language-model service to produce suggestions. This data is used only to fulfill that request, is not retained beyond it, and is not used to train AI models. You consent to this just-in-time before the first AI call, with the third-party AI category named, and can revoke it anytime in Settings; declining keeps your manual journal fully usable.
3. What We Do Not Do
No advertising identifiers (IDFA), no third-party ad or analytics SDKs, no cross-app tracking. We do not require App Tracking Transparency because we do not track you.
4. Your Control
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. Deletion permanently and irreversibly erases your account and all associated data via a server-side cascade.
5. Children’s Privacy
BrewLog is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will notify you in the app; continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
